To ensure the quality of cooperationbetween KLU and Arden University, and enhance the specialty construction of computer science andtechnology, on the morning of September 1, KLU held a symposium on the Specialty Construction of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education and the Assurance of Teaching Quality at aconference room at the School of Big Data Engineering.

KLU Vice President Zhou Jiangju, Secretary Fu Cunqing, Dean Zhang Xiaomei, Vice Dean Yin Haifeng from the School of Big Data Engineering, Dean Peng Sixiang from the School of Foreign Languages, and SecretaryZhou Lin from the School of International Education, were present, with Fu Cunqing as the host.

At the symposium, Zhang Xiaomei, Zhou Lin, and Yin Haifeng respectively reported on the specialty construction of cooperative education and the assurance of teaching quality. The attendees discussed the meeting topic and formed preliminary opinions.

Zhou Jiangju gave a concluding speech, in which she fully affirmed the preparatory work of the School of Big Data Engineering and the School of International Education, and guided in detail the issues raised by the attendees. She put forward four requirements for the next step of work: to be confident, to increase awareness, to understand students, and to ensure teaching quality. She stressed that Sino-foreign cooperative education is one of the key tasks during the 14th Five-Year Plan of KLU. Relevant departments and schools should attach great importance to it, fully implement work responsibilities, refine work measures, gather the talent cultivation objectives, coordinate from the top down, and interoperate internally and externally to ensure the level, quality and outcomes of Sino-foreign cooperative education, and strive to cultivate high-quality international and inter-disciplinary professionals, to further enhance the level of KLU's international education.
