On August 24, the opening ceremony of the 4th China-ASEAN International Art and Education International Tour Exhibition and the 2nd China-ASEAN Youth Painting Exhibition was held in the China-ASEAN Education Town in Penglai Xianjie Agricultural Tourism Park, Baiyun District, Guiyang. The opening ceremony was co-sponsored by the Guizhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committeeof China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. Zhao Shouying, President of KLU, attended the opening ceremony.

Wang Hui, Chairman of the Guizhou Education Union and Deputy Secretary General of the Organizing Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech for the China-ASEAN International Art and Education International Tour Exhibition. Xia Zehan, a Representative of the UNESCO Beijing (China) Office, and Jiang Hong, the full-time Vice President of Guizhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, delivered speeches successively. Lv Guofu, Secretaryofthe Guizhou University of Commerce presented awards to the prize-winning teachers, Wang Hui presented awards to the prize winnersfor the organization, and Jiang Hong presented awards to the student representatives.

A total of 41,209 youth works from China and ten ASEAN countries as well as other countries and regions were collected for the exhibition, including 40,852 youth paintings from Guizhou and Guangxi, and 357 youth paintings from the ten ASEAN countries and seven other countries. Finally, 41 first prizes, 56 second prizes, 81 third prizes, and 108 outstanding prizes were selected for the children's group; 37 first prizes, 58 second prizes, 78 third prizes, and 82 outstanding prizes were selected for the youth group. KLU won the Prize for Organization.
