KLU successfully applied the project of the Silk Road Youth Exchange Program of "Zhi & Xing Guizhou" (abbr. ZXG) after being evaluated by the Secretariat of China-ASEAN Education Exchange week.

The Silk Road Youth Exchange Program of "Zhi & Xing Guizhou", which was officially launched in 2021, is a youth exchange brand project of China-ASEAN Education Exchange week. Funded by the Department of Education of Guizhou Province, implemented by cooperation universities of Guizhou. The program is to subsidize at least 100 young people from the "Belt and Road Initiative" countries to carry out short-term exchanges and studies in Guizhou. The young candidates have the chance to learn about Guizhou and set up friendship through exchange and study, so as to achieve the Chinese traditional education conception—Unity of "Knowledge"(Zhi) and "Action"(Xing). It is reported that KLU is one of the 17 universities who have been selected to undertake this programme and the school is working on it so that more non-Chinese Young people of national origins are attracted to pay a visit and enjoy the experience at KLU and Qiandongnan (Southeast Guizhou).
