From June 1 to June 5, Prof. Zhang Xuemei, vice president of Kaili University, Mr. Jiang Xiaogu, director of Human Resources Dept., Prof. Luo Yongchao, dean of School of Science, Prof. Zheng Maogang, deputy director of Teaching Affairs Dept. and Ms. Yang Ping, an associate professor and director of Foreign Affairs Office participated in the 62nd Annual Conference of NAFSA International Education Exhibition in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
China International Education Exchange Association organized activities like exhibitions and publicity, discussion, cooperation, exchange and field trips. NAFSA, the American Association of International Educators, makes it available members from 50 states and 84 countries and regions in the world to participate in the occasion and is thus the largest organization of international educational exchange.
The members of NAFSA meet once a year. On the 62nd Annual Conference held in Kansas this year, 7100 representatives from 163 countries were present, including people from universities, government agencies and the communities, various civic associations, foundations, businesses and cultural groups. At the annual meeting and exhibition, KU delegates distribute out 600 copies of promotional materials and participated in varied seminars, exchanging opinions with the members of Chinese education delegation from other universities on how to carry out the international education cooperation. Meanwhile, the delegates exchange experiences thoroughly with delegates coming from Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky of the United States, Calgary University of Canada and Metropolitan State College of Denver in Colorado of the United States respectively and reach preliminary agreements of cooperation projects.
The members of Chinese education delegation conduct a site visit to LaGuardia Community College in New York and exchange souvenirs with the heads of the school. In the context of internationalization of education, our school representatives to participate in the NAFSA Annual Conference and International Education Exhibition, which will further promote our school's international exchange and cooperation process and bring a positive impact towards our school’s long-term development.
